About Halcyon

Halcyon offers you a unique range of intelligence, knowledge, values and writing services.

Halcyon's purpose is to play a small but increasingly significant role in helping make life better for as many people as we can.

We will do this by monitoring, analysing and reporting on the world's most significant issues, values and ideas, while also searching out and sharing with you exciting examples of how countless others worldwide are pursuing the same goals.

We also believe that, "seduced by analytics and big data, companies are overlooking the compelling power of qualitative judgement" - we aim to help redress this imbalance.

We will do all this for as long as we can and we will then pass the torch on to subsequent generations.  We hope that Halcyon's legacy will be to encourage others to improve their own and others' lives through a process of identifying and imagining creative responses, inspiring others, examining the impact of our choices, and finding ever more intelligent ways to act, both now and well into the future.

Halcyon was founded and is still led by its creator, Dominic Kelleher.

Dominic is currently a Global Knowledge Leader at EY and is a former director and senior independent adviser to PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), specialising in market intelligence (MI), megatrends/futurism, business development (BD) and knowledge management (KM). He was PwC's first director of global KM communications and he chaired PwC's global language action task force.

Dominic served as a senior adviser to AIESEC, the global student federation and was lead author of three British Standards Institution knowledge standards. He then led the multinational European Committee for Standardisation team that published a "European KM good practice guide", co-authored a European guide on "Virtual Organisations" and was a named contributor in an IBM study on business trends.

Halcyon works with a growing number of partners, advisers and mentors. These currently include:

  • Accountant: EV Consult
  • Financial Adviser: Fry Belgium
  • Mentors: retired entrepreneur in Belgium and former interim CEO in England
  • Web Developer: Lee Glasby of makeyour-point.
