I always found it hard to evolve in front of others who already 'knew' me precisely because I felt that prescribed and pre- determined identities are hard to shake. Perhaps I imagined or let the views of others influence me overly this way. There was also the attempt to shake of the parental perceptions and expectations. So I moved a lot.
