Reading Fathers, Sons and Motorcycles stirred memories of having read Robert Pirsig's Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance for the first time, many, many years ago.
Imagining seeing the world as in a grain of sand, as Blake did so memorably (see also: On Poetry) and as quoted at Maddy's naming day back in 1993, has metaphorically at least become more achievable through time-lapse film taken from the International Space Station as it orbits Earth at night.
And we can also now imagine flying though the known universe...
